Single
Line working on Double Line when communication is available (S.R. 9.12(iii))
Ø SM shall obtain line
clear for each train.
Ø For the first train
in the right direction and for all trains in the wrong direction LCT is issued
as authority to proceed. For wrong direction trains along with LCT T/A 912 is
also issued.
Ø A Caution Order
shall also be issued to the LP of each train.
Ø An endorsement shall be made in the Caution
Order issued to the LP of the first train to inform all Gatemen and Gangmen on
the way about the introduction of single line working and the line on which the
train shall run.
Ø Speed of the first
train in the right direction and for all trains in the wrong direction shall be
restricted to 25 kmph.
Ø While approaching
the next station nominated under special instruction, LP of the train running
in the right direction shall stop the train at FSS and in case of trains
running in the wrong direction driver shall stop the train opposite to the FSS
of adjacent line or at the LSS of the same line whichever signal is approached
first and the train shall be piloted on a written authority.
