During following messages
- Recycle computer breaker
- Breakers / BS open message but physically closed
- Relays failed to pick up /drop out
- Contactors failed to pick up / drop out
- “Digital input / output failure – check Mux ckt.”
If
not successful in EMD Locos
- Secure C/stand & loco
- Keep computer, TCC computer & IGBT/GTO breakers OFF
- Interchange DIO cards 3 with 1 or 3 with 2 duly wearing wrist band
- Switch ON the breakers
During Starting Motor abutment / ST
or STA message
- Stop Cranking
- Rotate both Starting motor Pinion gears manually
- Check ST, STA wire connections in ECC 2 & Re-crank
During Starting fuse open / missing
- Check & secure properly
- Replace with spare / other loco
- (Fuse is required only for cranking purpose)
During CCPD Button is tripped or
suspected HOD acted
- Do not Re-crank, Contact shed
During Lay shaft is very tight
Contact shed
Engine
shutdown after cranking
- Remove Amphenol plug
- Observe if holding
- If holding, connect and observe
- if shutting down or not holding – contact shed
