- In Case Of Locked Axle / Wheel, Alarm Rings & DID shows “ALARM - NO LOAD
- # nn Axle Is Locked. Stop And Verify Whether Locked Wheel Or Speed Sensor Fault”
- Stop the Loco & secure Control Stand
- Check Axle bearings’ temperature are normal, No Smoke, smell or fire from TM / Axle Box / Suspension bearings, No oil leakage from gear case / Grease leakage from axle box & roller bearing , No colour change around Axle box / Suspension bearing.
- Move loco, ensure Free rotation of the wheel & no Screeching sound
- Note: If any abnormality, contact shed (Loco Failure)
Faulty Locked Axle – Speed Sensor
defect
- Isolate Sensor through Display by Selecting
- Main Menu - Locked Wheel Detect – select Defective Axle and Isolate/Disable
- In each truck one speed sensor must be in working order for TCC to produce output
- After clearing section, contact shed for advice
- If recycling of computer breaker is done, speed sensor becomes enabled automatically in EMD - Disable again after recycling.
- If the message does not disappear even after disabling the speed sensor, try to disconnect the speed sensor on the TM.
- After disabling, if message is displayed - Ignore & work.
Note:
After isolating / disconnecting TM
speed sensor if screeching sound / any abnormality in under truck is
experienced on run – stop, check & Contact shed.
