Dual cab Loco Cab changing procedure



Secure the loco with skids / wedges and hand brake applied
First active Cab to be made as inactive Cab
  • Remove RH ensuring TH in IDLE and RH in NEUTRAL (Ensure in DID also)
·         Keep A9 in Full Service
·         Keep SA9 in Full Application
·         Keep LT Switch from LEAD to TRAIL
·         Release SA9 & ensure BC Pressure – 5.2 kg/cm2
·         Keep ER, GF OFF
·         Keep GF Breaker in OFF position
·         Remove BL key by keeping in OFF position

Then inactive cab to be made as active cab

  •  Insert BL Key and keep in ON
  •  Keep GF Breaker in ON position
  •  Keep ER, GF slider switch in ON
  •  Keep SA9 in Full Application
  •  Keep LT Switch from TRAIL to LEAD
  •  Ensure BC Pressure – 5.2 kg/cm2
  •  Keep A9 in Run
  •  Ensure BP Pressure – 5.2 kg/cm2
  •  Check working of A9 & SA9
  •  Insert RH in NEUTRAL
  •  Ensure both cabs Cont & FP slider switch in ON & Isolation switch in Run
