Over Speed Trip
Assembly - OSTA
It is provided at Engine Free End / Accessories room
It is provided with a Single Reset Handle
Normal position is 11 hrs. Position
Tripped position is 13 hrs. Position
When it trips, Engine will shut down due to fuel rack coming to no fuel
position
If OSTA tripped, check LLOB also,
During Cranking, Engine will not fire if it is in tripped position
If it is repeatedly tripping, clear section with lower notches &
Contact shed
Low
Water Pressure Detector - LWPD
Provided
in EPD & located in Accessories Room
It
trips when the cooling water pressure becomes less while engine is running
LWPD
Button projects out & LLOB will also trip with Red Band visible on both
knobs
Engine
will shut down. Reset LLOB & LWPD
Ensure Water level, if less, check
external leakages (Radiator room, compressor room, accessories room, ensure
Water drain cock in close position, engine block, both side after coolers &
Air box Drain pipe in under truck)
Open Pressure release valve to
minimize the leakage rate, clear section & contact shed
If external leakages are not
visible, check engine & compressor crankcase oil level for water
contamination. Contact shed if any abnormality
If not resetting,
press & hold few seconds during cranking
Crank Case Pressure Detector - CCPD
Provided
in EPD located in Accessories Room
It
trips when positive pressure develops in Engine Crankcase
CCPD
Button projects out & LLOB will also trip with Red Band visible on both
knobs
Engine
will shut down
Do
not crank the engine
Check
engine block for any abnormality, Eductor tube & its BAP pipeline
Contact
shed
Low
Oil Pressure Sensing - LLOB
Provided
in WW Governor, located in Accessories Room
When
low oil pressure condition is detected, LLOB Trips
Knob
will Project out with Red band Visible
Engine
will shutdown with Message “Engine
Protection Shutdown – Low Oil Pressure”
Press the knob to reset
If
LLOB is in tripped condition, Engine will not crank
If
LLOB trips check, lube oil level, EPD buttons position, engine Temperature in
Display (for HOD Operation) & OSTA handle position.
Act
as per the conditions
Hot Oil Detector - HOD
Provided in Accessories Room
It is connected on outlet of Main
Lube Oil Pump
When Lube Oil Temperature is above
124ºc, it opens. No visible indication in HOD
Lube Oil returns to sump, LLOB trips
& Engine will Shutdown
Check Engine Temperature in DID to
confirm. Do not Re Crank. Contact Shed
