Ensure
fouling mark is cleared & ensure formation is secured if loco not detaching.

Secure
C/stand, Apply A9 & SA9
·
Apply
hand brake & ensure efficiency.
·
Secure
with Iron skids / wedges.
·
Check
repair book for remarks. [such as not to shut down due to weak batteries,
defective battery charging system]
·
Ensure
normal battery charging
·
Check
& ensure Radiator fan working stopped (Engine to be cooled by Fast air
pumping)
·
Check
crew message, active fault condition
·
Check
Handing over water & Oil levels
·
Press
and hold stop button till engine crankshaft stops rotation. (If not shutting
down, try by MUSD, OSTA or LLOB)
·
If
post lubrication process is available, Wait till completion
·
Switch
off all the breakers and switches both in control panel and control stand (Keep
MUSD in Run)
·
Open
Battery knife switch
·
Close
all doors and shutters.
·
Record
reason, time & date of shut down.
·
Complete
the trip card & repair book with all particulars.
·
Hand
over repair book and the REV handle to concerned authorities.
·
Inform
to PRC / Concerned authority about any Loco Remarks, etc.
Reasons for Engine Automatically
Shut Down on Run
LLOB, OSTA tripped / Low water level
MCBG power breaker tripped /
Governor defective / Gov. Linkage uncoupled
MB2, MFPBs / FPB tripped / MUSD
operated, its contact defective
AGFB with BS open / MB1 tripped
No / less fuel oil pressure
Mcp defects / its breaker tripped
DSS / ESS defects
MCBG control unit and Actuator unit
cable disconnected
