The
signals to be used to warn the incoming train of an obstruction shall be
notified by the Railway under special instructions.
Ø
However,
a red flashing hand signal lamp at night or a red flag by day will normally be
used for this purpose.
Ø
It
is used to protect an obstruction in a block section while the railway servant
proceeds to place detonators.
Ø
Loco pilots, Guards, Patrolman and Gateman working
on Double/Multiple line, Ghat, Suburban and Automatic sections shall be
supplied with such signal(s).
